Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he would be interested in moving to Bayern Munich should the opportunity arise.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he would be interested in moving to Bayern Munich should the opportunity arise.

Sweden international Ibrahimovic joined PSG from Milan in July, and previously lined up for Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona, having begun his career at Malmo.

The 31-year-old has now indicated he would want to join Bayern Munich if he were to add the Bundesliga to the long list of competitions he has graced.

The Bundesliga is certainly a league that attracts me. One day, maybe I will go there, he told 11Freunde.

I still have a little time left in my career. If I chose to g…

Alderweireld not thinking of future

Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld says he will not allow uncertainty over his future to distract him while on international duty with Belgium.

The 24-year-old has been a first-team regular with the Amsterdam side since graduating from their youth academy in 2008, and made 33 appearances as they clinched the Eredivisie title last season.

A string of impressive performances during that period have seen Premier League duo Liverpool and Tottenham strongly linked with a swoop for his services.

However, Alderweireld says he has been fully focused on his job with Belgium, who took on Serbia in UEFA qualification Group A on Friday.

My father is looking into it, until Saturday I don t want to hear anything about it, he explained to belgiumsoccer.be.

Look, you know how many pl…

Atletico Madrid not afraid of Real Madrid, Torres claims

Fernando Torres has fired a warning shot to Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League semi-finals, insisting Atletico Madrid are not afraid of anyone.

Atleti have been beaten by Madrid in two of the last three Champions League finals losing last year s decider on penalties in Milan while Zinedine Zidane s side have taken four points from the two LaLiga matches between the sides this season.

Diego Simeone s men are 10 points behind Madrid in the Liga table but Torres insists Atletico will be up for the fight, despite heading into the tie as the underdogs.

It is true that there is a favourite and at that time Barcelona were the favourites against Chelsea and Real Madrid are the favourites against anyone, Torres told an Atleti Foundation event, recalling the 2012…

Empoli v Inter: Jovetic cools Serie A title talk

Stevan Jovetic has warned Inter not to focus on the Scudetto just yet as the Serie A leaders return to action against Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Wednesday.

Despite signing off the first half of their campaign with defeat to Lazio, Roberto Mancini s side return from their mid-season training camp in Doha a point clear of Fiorentina and Napoli at the top of the table.

An impressive record of just 11 goals conceded in the opening 17 matches has bolstered hopes of a sustained title challenge from Inter, who have not been crowned champions since 2010.

Speaking after Inter s friendly loss to Paris Saint-Germain in Qatar, Jovetic said Inter must remain focused, with Fiorentina and Napoli awaiting any further slip-ups.

We are doing well and hav…

Rangnick wants three new RB Leipzig signings

Ralf Rangnick is targeting three new signings and a return for loan star Ademola Lookman after taking charge of RB Leipzig.

Rangnick has moved into the head coach role for the 2018-19 season, switching from his previous position as director of football at the Bundesliga club.

Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann will take over for the 2019-20 campaign but Rangnick still plans to make his mark on the squad.

Lookman, who hit five league goals in 11 games on loan from Everton in the second half of last term, is one of the players on Rangnick s radar.

Bringing in three more players would be realistic, Rangnick said.  We re still in talks over Ademola Lookman.

And we re also looking at something for central midfield, whether that s a number six, eig…

Villarreal 2-1 Dinamo Zagreb (3-1 agg): Emery to face Arsenal as Moreno helps secure semi-final spot

Unai Emery will face former employers Arsenal in the Europa League semi-finals after his Villarreal side eased past Dinamo Zagreb, with a 2-1 result at home clinching a 3-1 aggregate triumph.

Gerard Moreno s penalty in the first leg gave the LaLiga side a slender advantage and the in-form striker was on target again on Thursday, taking his tally for the season in all competitions to 25.

Paco Alcacer scored the opener as Villarreal made it eight successive wins in the competition they will host the Gunners in the first leg on April 29, with the return fixture a week later.

Zagreb had stunned Tottenham with a second-leg comeback in the previous round and while Mislav Orsic did pull a goal back, the Croatian champions saw their involvement in the tournament come…

Cagliari condemn Lukaku abuse but denounce stereotyping of their fans

Cagliari vowed to ban the supporters responsible for racially abusing Romelu Lukaku in Sunday s 2-1 defeat to Inter but rejected silly stereotypes about the behaviour of their fans.

Lukaku s second-half penalty secured Inter s victory, however the match was marred by monkey chants coming from fans behind the goal as the striker prepared to take his kick.

He glared back at the supporters in question instead of celebrating after converting and it was the latest in a string of such incidents involving Cagliari and the fourth high-profile occasion in just over two years.

In May 2017, Pescara s Sulley Muntari was booked for complaining to the referee about racist abuse from Cagliari fans, later being given a one-match ban for walking off the pitch in protest. The cl…

Kerr, Kirby ´out of this world´ as Chelsea claim Women´s FA Cup on special day at Wembley

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes described Sam Kerr and Fran Kirby as out of this world after the star duo helped mark a significant anniversary in women s football with a 3-0 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup final.

The Women s FA Cup showpiece fell exactly 100 years to the day since the Football Association (FA) banned women from playing football – it took almost 50 years for the ban to be lifted when Southampton defeated Stewarton Thistle 4-1 in the first tournament in 1971.

Sunday was all about celebration as more than 40,000 fans packed into Wembley to watch Chelsea trump London rivals Arsenal in the 2020-21 decider, which had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Englishwoman Kirby opened the scoring before Australian star Kerr scored twice, including a …

Prediction: Bayern Munich vs Borussia Monchengladbach

Best Odds: 12/5

Bookmaker:

Looking to make a return to winning ways this weekend, Bayern Munich will welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to the Allianz on Saturday evening.

Bayern Munich

Starting with the hosts, while Bayern Munich might be inching towards their ninth straight Bundesliga crown, they will be desperate to put their last performance behind them. Given a fortnight off after their shocking 2-1 defeat away at Mainz on April 24th, the German giants saw their three-match winning run come to an abrupt end. With it announced that current RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann will replace Hans-Dieter Flick come the end of the season, The Bavarians should at least be glad to make a return to home soil this weekend. Despite watching PSG end their Champions League …
